Type I Personal Phaser |
Newly redesigned in 2379, the small, easily-concealable type one personal Phaser is a small, eight-setting weapon that is issued for minor shipboard or installation security, or when an easily concealable weapon is necessary. |
![]() Type II Phaser |
The old standby for nearly a century-and-a-half, the type two hand phaser's current form is a drastic increase over the last several models. Equipped with a new generation of serium kelleride power cells with a drastically increased recharge rate and a new emitter crystal that is less prone to overheating, the 2379 model type twos are rapidly replacing the 2372 and 2365 models in Starfleet's aresenal. |
![]() Type IIc Phaser (Heavy Pulse Pistol) |
A rare weapon, primarily issued to specialized units of the Starfleet Marine Corps, the pulse pistols (commonly nicknamed the "type 2c Phaser") are a scaled-down variation of the type IIIb and IIIc phaser rifles. Having a much more rapid refresh rate and higher-capacity power cells than the type twos, the pulse pistols are highly efficient weapons in ground-based combat. |
![]() Type III Phaser Rifle |
In use since 2366, the current model of the standard phaser rifle has remained little-changed for nearly fifteen years. Widely used throughout Federation space by Starfleet and planetary militias and security forces alike, the weapon has recently been upgraded, and is easily retrofitted. While it is being slowly phased out in front-line vessels in favor of the IIIa, IIIb, and IIIc rifles and their respective variants, it is likely that the weapon will remain in Starfleet's arsenal for years to come. |
![]() Type IIIa Compression Phaser Rifle |
Designed in conjunction with the ship-based pulse phaser projects, the type IIIa Compression Phaser Rifle is a unique weapon in Starfleet's inventory, providing a heavy assault capable weapon in a rifle-sized package. However, the weapons are difficult to construct and maintain, and are prone to over-heating. While they are an excellent weapon, their unreliability has kept them in limited production, while the IIIc's are favored for most front-line vessels. |
![]() Type IIIb Combat Phaser Rifle |
Intended as a replacement for the type three phaser rifles, the IIIb rifle has seen very limited deployment. It is a reliable weapon, but is slightly cumbersome and difficult to aim. The type IIIc is a lighter, more efficient upgrade on this weapon. |
![]() Type IIIc Uprated Phaser Rifle |
The most efficient weapon in the Starfleet arsenal, the type IIIc rifles are in their second-generation of design after only a few years in service. An easily-adaptable design, the IIIc's were initially introduced in 2373 as an improvement on the IIIb rifles. The 2379 redesign is an improvement in targeting and scanning systems, and adds a more attuned emitter crystal. |
![]() Type IIId EVA Phaser Rifle |
A variant of the type IIIb, the IIId rifle is equipped with a forward grip and magnetic locks, suiting it for EVA combat. |
![]() Type IIIe Assault Phaser Rifle |
Basically a IIIb with an under-slung photon grenade launcher, the IIIe is the primary rifle issued to Starfleet Marine units. |
![]() Type IIIf Phaser Carbine |
Often used by officer and NCO's of the Starfleet Marines, the carbine is a light rifle that is easily carried in combat situations. |
![]() Type IIIg Heavy Phaser Rifle |
In a standard Marine squad of twelve soldiers, one will often carry this heavy, highly effective anti-personnel weapon. Basically a twenty-fourth century equivalent to the "Squad Automatic Weapon", or SAW, the IIIg is capable of providing cover fire for the rest of the unit against far superior odds. |
![]() Type IIIh Tetryon Phaser Rifle |
In development for over a decade, the tetryon phaser rifle is one of many weapons designed to combat Borg regenerative technology. However, it has proven to be a long and difficult development process, and the tetryon rifles are just beginning to enter field tests. |
![]() Isomagnetic Disintegrator |
A rarely seen heavy weapon, the isomagnetic disintegrator is a shoulder-mounted light artillery weapon that provides small ground-based units with heavier firepower over longer ranges than would otherwise be possible with standard weaponry. |
![]() TR-116 Projectile Rifle |
Another of Starfleet's many weapons designed to counter the Borg, the TR-116 is a projectile rifle. Rarely seen, some of these weapons have been modified with point-to-point transporter mechanisms, allowing them to be fired through walls and other obstacles. |
![]() Photon Grenade |
In development for over a decade, the tetryon phaser rifle is one of many weapons designed to combat Borg regenerative technology. However, it has proven to be a long and difficult development process, and the tetryon rifles are just beginning to enter field tests. |
![]() Phaser Power Cell |
In development for over a decade, the tetryon phaser rifle is one of many weapons designed to combat Borg regenerative technology. However, it has proven to be a long and difficult development process, and the tetryon rifles are just beginning to enter field tests. |
